James Elliott is a master of science in war and psychiatry, a former member of the British Airborne Forces including operational deployment in Afghanistan, a triple world record holder, best selling author and the owner and designer of “think yourself resilient”. The methodology that James uses to help individuals and organisations develop resilience, including the Paralympic rowing team, Police Scotland, Special Forces, Cancer Rehabilitation Programmes and His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service.

James recently won the Ministry of Justice award for the lived allyship with Veterans In Custody for his  work helping veterans transition from prison to civilian life, he was also named resilience coach of the year 2023 and was nominated for a “good social coaching” award by Harvard University.

James is still a keen sportsmen, regularly competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and in endurance events for charity
